The town of Devin is located in the heart of Central Rhodopes, in the valley of the Vucha River, at an altitude of about 684 m. It is situated at 220 km from Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria and at 35 km from the international mountain resort of Pamporovo. The forests and the mountain lay are one of the most important natural resources of the region. You are going to find here unique natural forms – canyons and caves, the rivers are full with fish, the surrounding rocks and peak are natural place for the wild goats, and 4 of the plant, growing here, could not be found anywhere else at our planet. The climate is mild, the air – crystal clear. Devin is surrounded by rocky and green hills which protect it from the cold winds. The climate of the town is very pleasant and is characterized by a cool summer and a mild autumn. In the town and the villages around, a variety of warm mineral water springs (between 38 and 76 degrees centigrade) can be found, suitable to cure a number of diseases. The territory of the municipality houses 3 natural reserves - “Kazanite”, ”The Old Forest (Shabanitsa)” and “Kastraklii”.
